Exciting news! Dysautonomia International is launching a large new research project to help identify the causes of POTS and new treatment pathways. The POTS BRAIN (POTS Biobank, Research and Information Network) will kick off at our annual conference, July 9-12 in Houston, TX.
POTS patients who meet enrollment criteria will be invited to participate in the study, which will include genetic testing, measuring biomarkers related to blood volume, inflammation and other biomarkers, screening for co-morbidities like EDS, and a detailed survey to capture the lived experience of POTS. Details about the study will be shared during the first conference session on Friday morning, July 10th, at 9am Central Time.
After the initial launch at the conference, the project will be expanded to include multiple clinical site partners and opportunities to engage remotely. We hope to expand the project to other forms of dysautonomia in the future.
To support this important research, please consider making a contribution to Dysautonomia International's POTS Research Fund today at CurePOTS.org.
Conference details can be found at DysConf.org
Stay tuned for more updates on this innovative project!

When his daughter was diagnosed with autism, Leo Lagnado realised how difficult it could be to find sensory-friendly places.
So he decided to build a solution.
He created NeuroHub, a free app that allows autistic people and their families to find and rate sensory-friendly locations.
The goal is simple: make the unknown feel more predictable.
By helping people learn about an environment before they arrive, families can plan ahead, reduce anxiety and feel more confident exploring new places.
Accessibility is not always about changing a building.
Sometimes it is about giving people the information they need to feel safe enough to enter it.
