Greyhound Expressions
Greyhound Expressions is a 501c3 non-profit organization, 100% volunteer run, that changes the lives of wonderful racing Greyhounds.
My dear friend and founder of Greyhound Expressions, Joe Basile passed away at his home yesterday morning. I do not have any details as to why or how. I have known Joe for 20 years and he is the reason that I became a part of Greyhound Expressions. If it were not for him, I would have never met the best dogs in the world and all of you fantastic greyhound friends. Joe just started his new life with a new and wonderful bride, Diane in October and I can’t imagine her grief. Please send prayers to her, Lindsay and Vince as they need our support and prayers to get through this tragic shock. Joe, I love you and you will be missed. Thank you for all you have done for Greyhound Expressions.
Memorial service is March 19 from 1-4 viewing. Celebrating his life is 4-7 at Allor-Martensons Funeral Home, 203 E Elm Street, Monroe MI

Hello Friends! At 1:00pm on March 23rd at Mike and Patrica Steuwe’s house we are having a fundraiser for Mally, Michael and Melissa Cody’s 3-year-old Greyhound. Last week she was struggling and in severe pain, so Friday night she was referred to the MSU veterinary hospital. Tests and scans revealed aspirated pneumonia, possible enlarged spleen, and pockets of edema. The Doctors performed exploratory surgery and drained the edema. As of this moment she is recovering but still at MSU. This will be a hefty bill, compounded by their first baby due at any moment. The fundraiser is a Greyhound picnic, just as we have always done, with items to auction, hot dogs, brats, snacks, and a Greyt time for the hounds. Any proceeds and donations will go directly for Mally’s bills. Please come and show your support for a Greyt hound. 6824 Ridge Hwy, Britton MI.
