It's hard to believe that Resting in Jesus is a year old!

When I think about this book that the Lord gave to me, I get a little teary-eyed. I remember the day that DaySpring asked me to write this devotional guide and how it seemingly came out of the blue. I wasn't asking for it...in fact, I had just been rejected by a major publishing house after getting really far with them and I was in the middle of healing from major surgery and soon to have two more. But when God wants something out there, He will do it, regardless of our circustances!

Jesus taught me what true rest looks like and that "to rest" is actually an action verb. Why? Because it requires obedience and trust...which is a major theme of Resting in Jesus.

Thank you to all of you who have encouraged me through this journey, who have shared with me how Jesus showed up for you while you were walking with Mary and Martha and how you found healing and hope. You'll never know how much your sweet words have blessed me.

There is much more to share about how the Lord truly made me live out this book, but I'll save that for another time. Until then, you can find me happily resting in Jesus. 🤍
