Back in 2002, I took a chance. I pitched the idea of flipping houses to a Pittsburgh attorney who believed in me enough to lend me the money to get started.

I didn't have a fortune, a big team, or all the answers. Just ambition, determination, some Carlton Sheets books and cassettes, and a willingness to take that first step.

Nearly 25 years later, I'm still making the most of opportunities in the very same Pittsburgh real estate market where it all began. Only now, I'm also growing a private lending company that's creating opportunities on both sides — helping borrowers bring their projects to life while giving investors the opportunity to earn attractive returns on their money.

And to think, it all started with one conversation, one opportunity, and someone willing to believe in me.
