recently shared a tear down experiment on 2 identical iPhone 12s. After swapping screens between the 2 devices, the camera function was among the most noticeable malfunction. This may be Apple's built-in design to prevent 3rd party repair. We believe as with every attempt at enforcing a closed loop system, 3rd party manufacturers will eventually find a way. Just like with jailbreaking carrier and iCloud locks.
