As we enter into the cold wintery months many of us are dreaming of sandy beaches and warm sunshine. If you are pregnant or planning to soon become pregnant travel (and the transmission/sequela of Zika) is an important discussion to have with your OB/Gyn. Although females only have to wait 8wks after exposure before attempting pregnancy, it can be sexually transmitted from a male partner for up to 6 months.

Wether you have not been to your OB/Gyn in a few years or you are coming for your first visit, it can be an anxiety provoking time for some women. Having expectations and knowing whats going to be asked and addressed during the visit can help alleviate some of that stress.
