FAQ today: How do we produce our Vitreous Enamel Collection? Have a look inside our atelier. Vitreous Enamel is a material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing in ovens that goes up to 850 °C (1,560 °F) depending on the density of the colour. Copper plates are shaped and sanded before they are used as a smooth coating surface. The powders with different colours melt, flow, and then harden to a durable vitreous coating. In our The Eye collection, each piece is fired up in ovens four times.
