The craters on this Red Fox Agate (also known as Crater Agate) are full of hematite which turns it a bright red. You don’t see these often, and I have 2 up for sale in my shop.

Sardonyx is a mixture of alternating layers of Sard (essentially dark red/brown Carnelian) and Onyx. This creates mesmerizing bands of black and white in vibrant layers of reds and oranges.
It was the preferred stone for Roman signet rings and wax seals as wax does not stick to it. This usage for important documents and messages may be what has given Sardonyx a rep for aiding in legal matters.
