#10 for Trinity Presbyterian School killed his off season knee surgery recovery. The majority of meniscus tears are degenerative and do not require surgery. A young cutting athlete with a radial, flap tear after a dynamic injury and large effusion is a different animal and probably is best treated with arthroscopy. First image is the meniscus flap tucked behind the tibia 👉🏼 next is the reduced tear showing the full extent with fraying 👉🏼 trimmed meniscal edge after small debridement to a smooth and stable border 👉🏼 Pre-op MRI showing the flipped tear adjacent to the MCL 👉🏼 The result of hard work and commitment ending in a deep playoff run, more than 100 tackles and an opportunity to start in the AL-MS Allstar game... the first at his school to do it.
