At Legacy Christian Academy, we believe that every child is a story yet to be told. Our desire is to provide a Christ-centered environment where every student is known, encouraged, equipped, and inspired to grow in wisdom, character, and faith.
We are grateful for the community God is building at Legacy, and we’re equally grateful for those who make it possible. Your generosity is helping write these stories. One student, One family, and One life at a time.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together... but encouraging one another.” Hebrews 10:24–25

What legacy are you leaving behind?
At this week’s Staff Chapel, Pr. Andrew Mwenge, Senior Pastor of Kampala Baptist Church, reminded us to think beyond success, possessions, and position and instead consider the legacy we are leaving for God’s glory.
As we reflected on that challenge, we also celebrated the retirement of Mzee Nathan, whose faithful service since the very beginning of SOS Ministries is a beautiful testimony of a life lived for Christ. His years of steadfast commitment remind us that the greatest legacy is not fame or achievement, but faithfulness to God’s calling.
“For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. “ Hebrews 6:10

This month, we are delighted to recognize Ssempala Joab Ben, a dedicated member of the SOS Ministries who has faithfully served the organization for 13 years across different departments.
We thank Joab for his years of faithful service and for the positive example he continues to set. We celebrate his commitment, hard work, and the impact he has made over the past 13 years, and we wish him God’s continued blessings in the years ahead.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
It is easy to confess, “Jesus is Lord,” when life is comfortable. But what happens when your faith is tested? Trials reveal whether our profession of faith is genuine and whether we will remain steadfast when following Christ becomes costly.
In Philippians 2:19–30, Paul presents Timothy as a man of proven character. His integrity was not demonstrated by words alone but by a life that had been tested and found faithful.

The Church has never been all about the building, it has always been about God’s people finding Jesus, Hope, Joy and Community. Buildings provide a place to gather, but they do not define the Church. We are the Church, the redeemed people of God, called to worship Him, proclaim His Word, and live as Christ’s body wherever He has placed us. Wherever God’s people gather in faith, the Church is at work, bringing the hope of the gospel to the world.
“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27
