What started in 2001 as one high school teacher's belief that education could reach further, into homes, schools, and communities, has grown into a nationally recognized nonprofit. Since leaving the classroom, The EdVenture Group has managed more than $35 million in funding and touched the lives of students, families, and educators across the country.
On June 4, we celebrated that journey with a networking reception, dinner, award presentations, and a toast to the next 25 years at the Erickson Alumni Center.

🚀 ☀️ Our WVFEC team was excited to partner with EngagEd Pilot Lead Fred Hammack for Roane County's Summer SOAR Kickoff!
On Monday, we had the opportunity to facilitate a professional development session with the Summer Soar staff focused on play-based engagement using Six Bricks. Together, we explored practical strategies for creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences that foster communication, collaboration, and connection. 🌟
That evening, those strategies came to life as we joined students and their families for a hands-on LEGO® engagement event. Families explored a variety of activities designed to encourage communication, creativity, and teamwork before spending time free building together. It was wonderful to watch parents, caregivers, and students laugh, collaborate, and discover how simple moments of play can strengthen relationships and create lasting memories.🧱
A special thank you to Fred, the Summer SOAR staff, and everyone who joined us to help make the day such a success. We loved seeing educators, families, and students learning, building, and creating together! ❤️

Happy Birthday to Kiran! 🥳
We are so grateful to have Kiran as part of the EdVenture team. From beginning as a student in our cMeLead program, to joining us as an intern, and now serving full time since 2025, he has brought thoughtful ideas, valuable insight, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
