When he isn’t coordinating our drone team or out in the field assisting with search-and-rescue missions across north-central West Virginia, Dr. Bill Rose is leaving an incredible legacy in the medical field.

Bill is a true pioneer of emergency and prehospital medicine in West Virginia. Following a remarkable career as an attending physician, medical director for HealthNet Aeromedical Services, and a founding voice in wilderness medicine, he is continuing his lifelong commitment to service. Through his recent gift, the newly established Dr. William D. Rose Prehospital & Wilderness Medicine Fund at WVU will train the next generation of physicians to meet patients wherever they are—whether in a hospital or deep in the wilderness.
