This weekend the Morris Police Benevolent Society sponsored our Morris Police Officers (some active an some retired-yes, that is retired Sergeant Monty Allbert in the mix) in a Charity Flag Football tournament in Yorkville. The event was held at Go For It Sports in Yorkville and all of the proceeds went to the implementation of a Special Olympics Flag Football Team. The Morris team, although smaller than the rest of the teams in attendance, was a force to be reckoned with. Winning their first game and taking an extremely talented, extremely large, and young Aurora PD team to the last play of the game. Fun was had by all, great memories were made, and a lot of money was made for a great cause. We cant wait to do it again next year!
Pictured below is (back row) Trevor Allbert, Officer Tyler Mayerhofer, Officer James Bell, Officer Jacob MacLean, Officer Tyler Bordner and (front row) Officer Alex Hernandez, Sgt. Monty Allbert, Officer Scott Evans, and Det. Trevor Hodge.
