A few weeks ago, my whole family was sick — the kind of sick where everyone’s in bed, tissues everywhere, and I somehow ended up in charge of the remote (a rare and glorious power). I decided to watch The Accountant — the 2016 Ben Affleck movie I’d seen floating around on TikTok.

Let me tell you, I was not prepared. That gasp at the end? Loud.

No spoilers, but if you haven’t seen it yet and you love action, dry humor and surprises… it’s worth the watch. And yes, The Accountant 2 comes out today — and I might just make it my one trip to the theater this year.
