We hope this post finds you all happy and healthy. The start of the Vandal football season is just a few days away, and that means getting ready to plan for Homecoming activities in Moscow. As many of you know, Homecoming Saturday is the traditional day for the Zeta Delta House Corporation annual meeting. At this meeting we elect officers for the next year and go over the long-term plans for Delta Omicron. Long time board members, Bryan Bentz (President) and Joe Travis (Treasurer), are stepping down from their positions after this year. They will remain on until the end of 1st semester to help transition in the new officers. They are excited to pass the reins to a new generation of Delta Omicron alumni.

When they took over their respective positions, Delta Omicron was in the initial phase of its chapter remodel journey. The capital campaign had already taken off and things were looking good…until the bid came in too high. With their leadership and guidance, Zeta Delta worked through this set-back, borrowed extra money to complete the project, and, as many of you know, struggled with cash flow for many years. However, this December we will pay off one of two mortgages and the house will be on solid financial footing for the next group of officers to take over.

With all that being said, it means the floor is open to nominations or volunteers for the Zeta Delta Board of Directors. The positions up for election are President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Each position is a 1-year term. Any alumni brother is welcome to throw his hat in the ring for a position. It is critical we fill these positions, as Zeta Delta is the legal operating entity of the physical property of Delta Omicron Chapter and must continue to follow through on financial obligations. As mentioned before, the chapter is on the verge of being on very solid financial footing and the transition should be very simple. If you’re interested in serving on the board, please email any brother below. The annual board meeting and elections will be held Saturday, October 9, at 9 am PST in the Delta Omicron Chapter den.
