We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Tyrone McLaurin for taking the time to educate and pour into our students.

Tyrone spoke on the importance of confidence and competence, touching on key aspects of both barbering and entrepreneurship—exactly what our students needed to hear. He shared real-life experiences, from how he got started to how far he has come, which truly inspired and motivated everyone in the room.

He also provided a live demonstration on 4- and 5-part mannequin work, emphasizing the importance of clean parting and creating strong focus points when beginning any service. One of the most impactful takeaways from his lecture was the importance of creating a system. His breakdown of how 55 haircuts in one day is achievable really opened our students’ minds to efficiency and structure.

This was an amazing experience for our students, and it was great to see their level of interaction and engagement during Mr. Tyrone’s presentation.
