Today, Ms. Brittany Brinkley, our first-year 1st grade teacher, and Ms. Jill Carr, who is transitioning from an inclusion teacher to 3rd Grade ELA, participated in the districtβs New Teacher ELA Training with Ms. Becky from myView Literacy.

β¨ Professional Learning in Action! β¨
Ms. Taylor recently had the opportunity to attend the Arts Integration Conference in St. Louis, where she explored innovative ways to bring creativity, STEM, and hands-on learning into the classroom!
Throughout the conference, Ms. Taylor:
π Learned how to design and build a balloon-powered car using recycled materials.
π¬ Created interactive slides for a foldable, portable microscope to enhance student investigations.
π Discovered how to use theatre and dramatic arts to teach students about the parts of a cell in engaging and memorable ways.
π Explored the STEM Continuum and gained valuable strategies for leading schoolwide STEM implementation.
π¨ Participated in numerous sessions showcasing creative ways to integrate the arts across all subject areas to deepen student understanding and engagement.
We are excited to see these innovative ideas come to life in Ms. Taylor's classroom and throughout our school. Her dedication to continuous learning ensures that our students experience engaging, meaningful, and hands-on lessons that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
