Congratulations to the Moultrie Billiard Parlor, our July Business of the Month! 🎉

Family-owned and operated, Moultrie Billiards Parlor has been a staple in our community since 1998, when Andrew Horne's grandfather fulfilled his dream of owning a pool room. In 2016, Andrew took over the family business with a vision to build on that legacy by expanding the restaurant side of the business while preserving the welcoming atmosphere that has made it a local favorite.

Although it took time for people to embrace the idea of eating at a pool room, once they discovered the fresh, homemade food, the restaurant quickly became a go-to breakfast and lunch destination. Today, customers return week after week for hand-pattied hamburgers, fresh eggs, homemade biscuits, pancakes mixed by hand, chili dogs, grilled pound cake, and the friendly faces that greet them at the door.

Andrew says the best part of owning the business isn't just the food—it's the people. Over the years, he's built countless lifelong friendships with regular customers, and his goal is simple: to make everyone who walks through the door feel like family. As they like to say, they never meet a stranger.

That welcoming spirit extends beyond Andrew to the entire staff. Their incredible team has built genuine relationships with customers over the years, taking the time to learn names, remember favorite orders, and make every guest feel like part of the family. It's those personal connections and hometown hospitality that keep customers coming back time and time again.

Another staple of Moultrie Billiards Parlor is the collection of signs that cover the walls throughout the restaurant. From classic dad jokes to timeless sayings gathered over the years, each sign adds character and charm, giving guests something to smile about while enjoying their meal.

The restaurant proudly preserves its history, with the original high-back chairs and pool table still in use today. Andrew's father, Buddy, has been hand-pattying the burgers since the beginning, continuing the family's commitment to quality and tradition. One of Andrew's proudest accomplishments is seeing Moultrie Billiards Parlor become a trusted gathering place for the community, hosting political meet-and-greets and giving residents an opportunity to connect with local leaders.
