Meet Doris. 🖤🤍
Doris was just hours away from losing her life—not because she had done anything wrong, but because the shelter had run out of space.
Today, she’s safe. And despite everything she’s been through, her heart is still full of love.
This joyful girl is playful, strong yet gentle, and happiest when she can share one-on-one time with someone she trusts. She may not enjoy a crowd of dogs, but she absolutely blossoms with personal attention and affection. Every tail wag feels like she’s discovering what love is for the very first time.
Doris has been given a second chance. Now all she needs is someone to show her that forever is real.

The Herf-mobile is on the move again… and with it, 9 more lives are getting the chance they deserve. ❤️🐾
On Wednesday, June 24, Heather hit the road with three little S-litter sisters, four Heeler puppies, Sandy, and Mack—bound for the Eastern Shore of Maryland where our incredible rescue partners were waiting.
This journey of nearly 1500 miles is about so much more than transportation. It’s about relationships; from a sister opening her home in Tennessee, to Kathy Hunter at the Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne’s County with her amazing foster families, and Baywater Animal Rescue welcoming another group of deserving puppies who were previously slated for euthanasia.
Every stop along the way reminds us that rescue is a community built on kindness. We are grateful for all the helpful hands on this journey.
