First time I've received this robocall: "This is the US Customs and Border Patrol. A package containing drugs has been seized under your name. Please press 1 now."

New scam, different day. Scare tactics are typically how many of these scams go to convince you that you're in trouble if you don't do something immediately. Always be cautious when receiving random calls. Never let anyone control your computer who you do not trust. Never try to pay a person you don't know in bitcoin, itunes gift cards or any other random payment method.

If you do mistakenly allow someone to control your computer, I would recommend you contact us, or your trusted tech shop, to discuss options. Once someone controls your computer, who knows what they may have done, even without you knowing it. Also change all your passwords and keep an eye on bank accounts, credit cards, etc. You will never know what data the scammers may have taken while connected to your computer.
