Residential Electric Vehicle Charger and Installation Rebate Amounts

ComEd Residential Customers can take advantage of a rebate up to $3,750 towards the purchase and installation of a qualified Level 2 charger**. ComEd Customers who meet certain criteria are eligible to receive the LI/EIEC Rebate, the highest rebate available.

Customers who do not meet LI/EIEC Rebate Requirements may begin applying on 1/1/25 and may be eligible for rebates up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation of a qualified EV charger installed on or after January 1, 2025.

After months of trying LMV Electric finally became 2024 Service Provider for ComEd EV/car charger Rebates. We were officially Authorized on July 16th 2024 until 12/31/2024.
Why is it a big deal? Only authorized installers can help low income homeowners get a rebate of up to $3750 (from ComEd) for electric car charger and installation at their house.

Since simple car charger installation at home (car charger, parts, labor, permit) doesn't cost that much so really a lot of people might be able to install it at their house without any cost.
It is a big deal but the money that ComEd offers is there until it is used up. As of now $1,800,000 has been used out of $2,500,000 total available for eligible customers.
We understand that a lot of low income households cannot afford an electric vehicle in the first place but good news is they do not even have to have an electric car to qualify. Homeowners can prepare for a future.
Anyways we just did a project in Des Plaines and we submitted an application to ComEd to get the rebate for our customer. We will keep you posted if this actually works.
