It was 192 years ago today, that Ms. Nancy Green was born in Montgomery County. We continue to celebrate her life and legacy as America’s first living trademark, portraying the “Aunt Jemima” brand across the country. We know her as the “Pancake Queen”, but she was so much more. Take a moment today to celebrate her life and legacy, talk to your kids and grandkids about her. She overcame the impossible, was a missionary, nurse, chef, and all around amazing woman. Nancy Green went on to grow the largest black church in Chicago, working with impoverished youth until her death, proving anything is within reach, no matter what your beginnings🥞👑💜
