After nearly 20 years in the auction business, we've seen older items bring less than newer ones, and newer items bring less than older ones.

What usually matters most is:

✅ Condition
✅ Quality
✅ Rarity
✅ Demand

A well-maintained piece of equipment often outperforms a neglected one. A sought-after vintage item can surprise everyone. And sometimes the item nobody expected becomes the star of the auction.

That's one of the things we love most about auctions—there's always a market, but the market is constantly changing.

What's the biggest surprise you've ever seen at an auction?
