As Silicon Valley enters a new era of wealth creation driven by AI, an important question emerges: What opportunities will this create for philanthropy and community impact?
In a recent article by The Wall Street Journal, SVCF President and CEO Nicole Taylor shared her perspective on what the next wave of tech wealth could mean for charitable giving.
As Nicole notes, Silicon Valley has experienced multiple waves of innovation and wealth creation - from Hewlett and Packard to the social media era and now AI. Across generations, one theme has remained consistent: people want to create change, and they want to do it at scale.
The article explores how potential future IPOs and liquidity events could shape philanthropy in the years ahead, and how a new generation of donors may approach giving through a focus on systemic challenges such as climate change, education and economic opportunity.
At SVCF, we're committed to helping donors turn generosity into meaningful, lasting impact for our communities. Read the article to learn more about the future of philanthropy in the age of AI.
