The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, in collaboration with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, is now in its 11th year and continues to help build Tennessee's physician workforce. 💙

A few highlights:
• 24 emergency medicine residents train in the program at any given time
• 8 physicians graduate each year
• Last year, 6 of 8 graduates stayed with Ascension Saint Thomas
• This year, 5 of 8 graduates are expected to do the same
• Nearly 120 physicians are currently training across 9 graduate medical education programs within Ascension Saint Thomas

By training physicians locally and creating opportunities for them to serve in rural and regional communities, we're helping strengthen access to high-quality emergency care throughout Tennessee.
