You should always celebrate your wins. 🐝

When I was 10 years old, it wasn't yet legal for a woman to own her own business without a man co-signing for her.

When I was 20 years old, I sketched the layout of my dream store and wrote my first business plan.

When I was 45 years old, I unlocked the doors to my very first brick-and-mortar shop. A dream I had carried for decades had finally come true—35 years after it had become legal for me to pursue it on my own.

People often asked why I chose the name Honey Bee. It was inspired by my faith. Throughout the Bible, honey represents God's provision, spiritual nourishment, and the sweetness of His Word. Honey bees also remind me that abundance is created through community. A hive flourishes because every bee has a purpose, just as our communities thrive when we support one another.

For 3.5 wonderful years, I had the privilege of welcoming you into that little shop. And while this chapter has now come to a close, it doesn't lessen what it meant or what it took to build it. I don't look back with sadness—I look back with overwhelming gratitude. I feel richly blessed by every friendship, every conversation, every customer, and every ounce of support you've given me along the way.

So I've decided it's time to celebrate.

I gave myself a gift to mark this beautiful season of my life—a pink bee box. 🩷🐝 It represents everything Honey Bee meant to me. Every time I see it, I'll remember those years with joy. I'll remember the dream that became reality. I'll remember the community we built together. And I'll remind myself to be proud of what I accomplished.

As I look toward new goals and new dreams with The Nested Bee, I'm taking a moment to honor the ones God has already allowed me to achieve.

If there's one thing I'd love for you to take away from this, it's this:

Celebrate your achievements—no matter how big or how small. Don't rush past them. Pause. Reflect. Give yourself grace. Be kind to yourself. Love yourself in every season of life.

God isn't finished writing your story... and He's not finished writing mine either. ✨
