Hours and hours of making test tiles. It’s all part of making pottery that most people wouldn’t think about. Testing glazes with different clay bodies to make sure that when I’ve spent hours making a large platter or a beautiful mug, that the glaze will melt right and look great on the piece. In the end, even with careful planning, it’s all up to the kiln gods. 🙏🏼🙃🤞🏼
