Non-Player Characters (NPCs) are characters in a video game that are limited to what they can say or do. We know many wonderful 11–12-year-old girls have anxiety that can limit what they can say or do in social
relationships. We believe these girls have amazing qualities to offer social relationships. When saying we can be more than an NPC, we are saying it is possible
to feel more confident in what we say or do.

Our group will focus on building confidence in our unique self, initiating conversations, identifying another person’s body language, problem-solving when friends disagree, and differentiating a friend’s thoughts
and feelings from our own. All these concepts will be done while doing fun activities, practicing these skills, and building friendships with one another in the group!
