Last week, our entire staff came together with our Board of Directors and a dedicated volunteer facilitator to begin the strategic planning process for Beesley Animal Foundation.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect outside of our day-to-day work, discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Beesley and our community, and share ideas about how we can continue to grow and better serve pets and the people who love them.

To our community, we hope this process reflects our deep commitment to ensuring our work has a lasting, meaningful impact right here at home. We recognize the very real struggles facing our community, from the overpopulation crisis and the abundance of homeless animals, to the lack of resources available when life takes an unexpected turn. You deserve support, and we are dedicated to providing it.

I want to sincerely thank each employee and board member who gave several hours of their evening to participate in these important conversations. It is very inspiring to witness your compassion and commitment to Beesley and our mission; they do not go unnoticed.

This year, Beesley Animal Foundation turns 46 years old. Over the years, our mission and vision have evolved as our programs have grown and the needs of our community have changed. Today, we are busier than ever — serving more pets, expanding access to affordable care, education, and outreach, and continuing to strengthen the human-animal bond across Middle Tennessee.

Our mission remains at the center of everything we do: We believe every pet deserves a healthy life, and every owner deserves access to compassionate support. Beesley Animal Foundation exists to raise awareness and provide affordable care, education, and outreach that promotes responsible pet ownership — and in turn a stronger community.

Growth and change are exciting, but they also bring challenges and opportunities to improve. As we continue building for the future, I ask for your continued support and patience. We are caring for more pets than ever before, which sometimes means longer lines in our parking lot and adjustments along the way — but every conversation, every improvement, and every plan is rooted in creating an even stronger Beesley for years to come.

Thank you for being part of our journey. - With heartfelt gratitude, Dawn Roberts, Beesley Animal Foundation Executive Director🐾
