Blessed to have been able to compete! God willing I was able to overcome adversity and get a win over someone I had previously lost to! Was able to finally capture the elusive open weight gold medal after years of silver as a light-feather, and feather weight! So glad I was able to come down to St. Louis and help score some points for TAC Team, in which the team brought home 1st place in all the big overall hardware🏆🏆🏆
I was impressed with my performance, even though I will always have alot to work on, I was forced to have to adjust due to a boo boo, get outside of my normal competition safety net of wrestling and passing, and initiate my own guard game instead; which I actually thoroughly enjoyed and felt very comfortable doing!
I gotta say the TAC Team St. Louis area schools are packed with great coaches and competitors and really made me feel welcomed. I wasnt sure how I was going to do without Matt Leighton and Mark Vives in my corner! But Josh McKinney, Jr Silva, Nick Sanders, Kyle Watson and Jake Taylor took great care of me!
S/O to all my Strike Strue Academy students who have kept me ready and confident to compete! And my fiance Kassy Middagh for supporting and believing me, helping me run kids classes!
