Are you considering Loc’n your hair? A few things to have in mind are hair health, starting method, part size, and length. Is your hair strong enough to hold the weight of a Loc? (Schedule a consultation). There are many methods to starting Locs: comb coils, two strands, interlocking, instant Loc, and Extensions. Having a reference picture for part size is essential.

To shampoo your Locs, make sure your Locs and scalp are wet & apply a generous amount of shampoo. If the shampoo doesn’t lather the hair probably isn’t saturated enough. Rinse & repeat this step 2-3x. Don’t forget to open your Locs at the root before starting.
