Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 1 at 4:38PM CDT until July 1 at 5:30PM CDT by NWS Huntsville AL
* Until 530 PM CDT.
* At 438 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of
Courtland, or 14 miles northwest of Decatur, moving west at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
