You may have heard about the recent Cyclospora outbreak in Michigan. While health officials continue to investigate, it's important to take simple steps to help protect yourself and your family.
- Wash fresh fruits and vegetables thoroughly before eating.
- Refrigerate produce promptly.
- Stay hydrated if you're experiencing diarrhea.
- Monitor for symptoms such as watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, fatigue, or loss of appetite.
If you develop symptoms that are severe, persistent, or you're concerned about your health, contact your primary care provider.
