Pocono Model Trains

It has been a while since my last post and the reason is I’ve been working on the layout. I have finished the road behind the town.

I worked today for a couple hours on scenery. I now have a dirt road in place and rock along the bottom of the wall and I used a grass mat and cut pieces to fit that will surround the back of the town. The grass mat is from Heki products sold by Scenic Express. The rock also from Scenic Express. The dirt for the road is from Mine Mountain Models. Check out their website, they are a husband and wife operation. Still a lot to do so stay tuned.

The base work is done for the houses. I got some color on and made some rock castings. The black color is where the road will be but I’m not sure if it will be gravel or asphalt. Maybe just a dirt road.
