After a year and a half, there is NEW news to report to the Owners!!

Due to certain circumstances, Pete T and Jean L are no longer Board of Director members as of late June / early July 2022. Also, the Administrative Assistant gave notice July 13 and resigned her position effective late July, 2022.
The Board contracted with a Property Management company to replace the Administrative Assistant and notified Owners by email and mail. An opportunity to meet the Property Management agent was provided at the August Board meeting.
As of Sept 8th the Board President (Spencer P) and Board Secretary (Gina D), have appointed long time owner Debbie B as well as Amber W as successors to the terms vacated by Pete & Jean.
The successors to Pete T and Jean L may not be official as the Board Secretary (Gina D) was unable to provide the names of the new appointees upon request Sept 9. She deferred questions to Property Management, William Douglas. An e-mail inquiry to the Property Management has yet to be responded to, but in a 'in person' visit the same day Property Management said 'We have not been notified of any appointee(s).' So this update is unconfirmed and not official!! Watch your email or mailbox for the official announcement.

The Plantation at Hunters Ridge is going through a transitional period with a Board of Directors who has only lived here a very short time each (except 'Ms B'). The Board has been pressed by some of their friends who feel they have been harmed by previous Boards by being notified of violations (such as parking on unpaved areas, parking on the street, commercial vehicles / trailors / boats / campers open to view, as well as other Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions / By-Laws infractions), and the new Board President has also expressed his own discontent for recieving a letter for a potential violation. As a result, the new Board has expressed a policy of 'non-voilation' for those and other issues, while the Property Management company has assured us that any reported violations will be handled based on the guidelines of the Board.

In other events, emails and mailings have recently been sent to the Owners of Hunters Ridge Plantation about the upcoming election. Those notifications state that you may begin sending in ballots for the Board of Directors seat (for Jan 2023 - Jan 2025) immediately, although there are no candidates mentioned or ballots provided. Hopefully, the Board will remedy the confusion very quickly and defer to Amendent 5 (and 6) of our By-laws or at least send out a clarification of who Owners have to choose from and how to get
ballots.
Any questions about Board members or the upcoming election should be addressed directly to the Board of Directors.

So, let's all welcome Ms B and Ms W to the Board of Directors for the Plantation at Hunters Ridge. Please attend the next Board of Directors meeting (tentatively scheduled for October 4, 2022 at the pool house) and get acquainted with all of the Board members (if you do not already know them).
