JOB OVERVIEW
Reports to: Director of Housekeeping
The Laundry Manager is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Laundry department. He/she should focus on quality and timeliness of linen and sanitation service as well as department profitability, continuous improvement, and growth of repeat guests. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that all Laundry tasks are being performed in a safe and efficient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Previous experience with industrial/hotel laundry and machinery
• Experienced in scheduling and budgeting department according to occupancy.
• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• The ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful, but not required.
• Required 7th/8th grade math level.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
• CUSTOMER SERVICE: Deliver the best service, quality and value to every customer, every time. Maintain customer satisfaction internal and external as the driving philosophy of the Laundry department. Personally, demonstrate a commitment to customer service by responding promptly to guest and department needs. Commit to satisfying every guest. Ensure Laundry staff, including all new hires, are trained to meet standards. Empower Laundry staff to deliver customer service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance.
• FINANCIAL: Manage department within budget. Accurately forecast expenses. Assist in preparation of annual departmental budget that accurately reflects the department’s operations plan. Analyze financial and operating information on an ongoing basis to adjust labor, supplies, materials and other costs to achieve budget. Ensure department staff is trained in control procedures as outlined by Internal Audit, and that these procedures are consistently followed.
• PEOPLE: Manage people according to Sea Mist’s values. Manage human resources functions including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, performance reviews, pay and recognition programs to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management. Emphasize training and development as a way of doing business in order to empower employees to successfully perform their jobs. Help to develop management talent by acting as a mentor for direct reports. Resolve employee grievances fairly and timely. Ensure employees fully understand performance standards, review process, and reward successes. Manage safety program to protect guests and employees and which meets OSHA requirements. Use ongoing safety plan to minimize workers’ compensation claims.
• QUALITY: Maintain physical product standards by routinely inspecting linen quality and laundry facilities to ensure proper working condition and departmental supplies are stocked at proper levels. Submit work orders to the maintenance department on a timely basis and follow up to ensure completion. Justify requests for capital projects using ROI. Manage security procedures such as key control and monthly inventory.
• INVENTORY: Keep accurate records of all linen inventory, all discard must be discussed, and recovery plans must be in place. If you have problems in recovery involve the chemical company in the process. Do not dispose of any product that can be recovered. Present inventory report weekly to your manager.

The Laundry Technician II is responsible for operating all laundry equipment in a timely and productive manner in order to clean, dry, and fold articles such as sheets, towels, table linens, napkins, etc to maintain Sea Mist’s highest standards of cleanliness and exceed guest expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experienced preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

The Housekeeping Houseperson is to clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel according to standard operating procedures. Supply hotel guests with amenities and guest supplies as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Prior housekeeping experience helpful.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

SUMMARY
The pools technician is responsible for the cleaning and chemical levels of eleven pools, eight kiddy pools, four Jacuzzis, a steam room and sauna, a water park and a children’s activity pool in addition to monitoring the pump houses servicing the pools.

The job of a Resort Services Agent is to protect Resort property from theft or vandalism, deal with emergency situations, assist in the training of newly hired Resort Guest Services staff, provide assistance to visitors, ensure authorized access to the property, respond immediately to alarms or emergency situations, ensuring efficiency, monitor and maintain CCTV’s, and maintain control of Resort Guest Services equipment and keys.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Diploma or GED
• Security/law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Must meet age requirements of jurisdiction.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
