There’s no better way to start a new week than with a dog birthday celebration 🥳 Today, we joyfully celebrated my dear ‘niece’, Finley Rose, who turned 6 years old! I gifted her a very special birthday crown that once belonged to Barkley, a treasured keepsake that now honors his legacy through her 🥹 The day was filled with joy, celebrating Finley with her fur siblings, their loving mama Courtney Crowe, and my darling Fiona. Auntie Kristen loves you, Finley Rose! 🌹

Bird is known for being aggressive towards humans but he becomes a total saint when you offer him snacks 🤭

Animals are just like us and they can struggle with trust issues. Sometimes it’s due to past trauma and sometimes they are simply born with nervous and anxious tendencies. We don’t know the case with Bird because we don’t know exactly what happened to him before he came to live with our family but we handle his trust issues the same way we would a human’s. We treat him with love, respect and gentleness. We make sure he’s well taken care of and we show him he has no reason to be afraid of us. He may not allow us to hold him or handle him and that’s okay! We don’t expect him to do anything he’s not comfortable doing. We just want him to be happy and healthy and we love having the ability to provide a safe environment for him 🥰
