Signature Custom Signs

Okay, it's bragging, but it's about the hubs, so I'm allowed :-) We love venerable old wooden sandblasted signs, and when they've been prepared properly, they can last for years. They just occasionally need a fresh coat of paint.

This one started out its life gray and a kind of maroon, with an unadorned shell outline. The delightful woman from the HOA worked with Matt to choose bright new colors, and then Matt really put his artistic talents to work. The shell painting is all his art, and the big final touch is on the letters. Originally, they were to just be yellow, but the yellow disappeared into the shell. Matt took his paint brush and mahl stick and put a pretty outline around them, so they really pop.

Some work is just plain fun to do. I'm proud of this artist I married!

We enjoy it a lot when a smart cheerful lady with the HOA has good ideas about color and detail :-)
