I'm not really that really upset right now that my supposedly amazing 45" Ultra Wide 45" LG monitor didn't show up. Somehow it was auto-returned to sender. It would have been nice, but...maybe a problem.

However, so far I've logged 5.75 or more hours of time waiting ON HOLD for LG's terrible 1-800 customer service support phone (1-844-810-0070) that never answers (at least 3 calls so far), for a monitor that was a good price, but that apparently can't be supported.

Similar to some laptops I've attempted to repair...only to find that they don't have parts. Weird. At least I was able to come up with solutions for those 2. My solution for this, buy a different brand.

If you can't support the orders, I pretty much guarantee that company can't support the problems...hmm.

According to my contact at the Department of Homeland Security, if reported within 2 days, Homeland Security, CISA, FBI, and Secret Security can work to possibly freeze bank accounts and recover money. And, I'm told I need to call him directly if it's an amount greater than $25k. In this case, I did the reporting within hours of learning of the crime, but sadly my client waited a week to report it to me.

This was one of my more-security-conscious and intelligent elderly customers, and they just got in a hurry and got taken for a lot of their hard earned cash.

So - this can happen to anyone - don't get in a hurry like this client did. But, if something smells fishy, we need to work quickly to attempt to fix it!
