I don’t know about you, but I’m feelin ‘22…

A friend recently shared an article about the mood of 2021: languishing.

I don’t think I could have found a better word to describe the last half of the year. Mentally, it wasn’t good or bad. It was more of a stuck on a carousel, spinning my wheels, restlessness and just an overall burnt out feeling. Did any of you relate to this feeling in 2021?

In the article they go on to say that the opposite of languishing is flourishing. And although I definitely did not feel like I was flourishing I truly believe there is a purpose in every season.

By nature I am a “just bulldoze your way through the hard stuff” type gal. With so many things out of my control this season I couldn’t even do that. There was a lot of waiting. A lot of frustration. A lot of relying on others (thank the Lord for my family and good friends). A lot of letting myself fall by the wayside.

I’m still trying to figure out all the lessons this season has taught me (and implementing them), but I do know that I am ready to flourish again! The new year brings a natural excitement and anticipation. I’m going to ride that wave in many ways that I will get into another day, but starting with a renewed commitment to taking care of my physical health. I’ll be diving in alongside my clients for my January 3 round of FASTer Way to recharge and reset in 2022. I was a client before I was a coach and have seen the amazing results first hand.
