💛 It's a family business at Yellow ✨

We were in need of some updated headshots and reached out to our friend Katie Kaizer Photography to get her thoughts. Katie has been our family photographer for over 5 years but she was first a mentor to us. She took Yellow under her wings and shared the secrets of how to capture a wedding when we knew nothing. Still to this day, when we are filming alongside her, we are always learning. She makes us better filmmakers, always! We don't know anyone who educates themselves constantly the way she does or pushes themselves creatively like her. She cares and that is the most important value you should look for when finding a photographer. Yes, she cares about the light and she'll spend hours scouting and testing but she cares about the stuff that matters and that's who you are as a person, as a family, as a business and she uses that to create images that reflect you truly to tell your story.

She is all about the real moments that happen and that's exactly what happened in this sweet photo here. Laura was in the middle of setting up for a headshot and our youngest Winnie waddled on over to Chris and started playing with his camera, Liam followed and we found ourselves in a very sweet moment of showing the kids what it is that we do when we disappear at random hours of any given day. Not many photographers will say "Bring the kids, we'll capture some with them if there is time" for a business shoot & we are so happy she did.
