The Nantucket Sports Connection proudly presents the Whalers Varsity Boys Lacrosse squad continuing their march through the tournament towards their third consecutive Final Four appearance, but first they must overcome the Bulldogs from Rockland.

Nantucket (15-3) proved their #2 ranking as they entered their seventh consecutive tournament in dramatic fashion Monday, besting Monomoy 15-0 in a game that was put away in the first quarter. Nolen Mosscrop led all scorers with four goals, though he had plenty of help from Noah Stringer & Marco La Chuisa who scored three each, Arann Hanlon who scored twice and Jake Grant and Weylin Mooney & Kyden Whitfield who each scored one a piece.

Rockland (9-10, #15) comes into the playoffs having dropped four of their final six regular season matches, as they face stiff competition in the South Shore League. They managed to best Littleton 16-12 in the opening round to qualify for the Sweet 16 today.

The Bulldogs have seen MIAA tournament play nearly every season since 2017, bouncing around between the #10 and #20 rankings this decade. Nantucket Sports Connection proudly presents the Whalers Varsity Boys Lacrosse squad as they take on the Division 3 Titans from the South Shore in their penultimate game of the regular season.

Pembroke (10-7, #11 in Div. 3) finishes their regular season with a trip to the island, coming off a stinging 15-3 loss at Hingham yesterday. They're looking to even this series against Nantucket after a slim 7-5 defeat at home.

The Titans were the #14 seed in the MIAA Div. 3 Tournament last season, where they quickly fell 11-8 to Old Rochester; before that they were knocked out by Falmouth early in the 2022 & 2023 playoffs.

Nantucket (13-3, #2 in Div. 4) is similarly coming off a tough loss, in their case against a Division 1 team from Shrewsbury, who they fell to 4-3 last Saturday in another grueling defensive struggle reminiscent of their twin losses to Falmouth. They're looking to solidify their hold on their second place finish in the season with a big win today and a final coup de grĂ¢ce against a struggling Vineyard team this weekend.

Live coverage begins at 4:15 with the first draw scheduled for 4:30pm from Vito Capizzo Stadium, coming to you live both on the NSC YouTube channel as well as on NCTV HD Channel 1072.

Nantucket Sports Connection proudly presents the Whalers Varsity Boys Lacrosse squad in a replay of the 2024 MIAA Division 4 State Championship against their bitter rivals, the Blue Knights.

Nantucket (10-2, #3 in Division 4) has had another dominant season run, save for a series sweep completed last night by a tough Division 3 team from Falmouth, who bested the Whalers 9-7 on the Cape after an incredible 2-1 grind here on island last month. Nantucket will need a win today with more tough non-league, upper division opponents Canton, Shrewsbury and Pembroke coming up in the next couple of weeks.

After their statewide runner-up run in 2024, Sandwich (5-8, #10 in Div. 4) struggled last year, limping into the playoffs with an even record before falling 11-7 to the Whalers in the Round of 32. They lost again to Nantucket, this time on the mainland, by a more decisive 14-3 score on April 14. The Blue Knights still look to stay in the top half of the MIAA Tournament based on strength of schedule, facing off against upper division teams such as Scituate, Pembroke, Hanover and Nauset, the latter of whom they dropped to 13-2 on Tuesday.

Live coverage begins at 4:45 with the first draw scheduled for 5pm from Vito Capizzo Stadium, coming to you live both on the NSC YouTube channel as well as on NCTV HD Channel 1072.

Nantucket Sports Connection proudly presents your *defending league champion* Whalers Girls Varsity Lacrosse squad as they face the Warriors in an important Cape & Islands League matchup.

The Whalers (9-0) are now the #7 ranked team with the new MIAA Division 4 Power Rankings, despite being the only undefeated team in the Top Ten. Since those rankings came out, they notched another victory, winning 19-9 on the road over Dennis-Yarmouth.

The Warriors (7-4, #17 in Div. 3) struggled earlier in the season -- including a 10-9 loss to Nantucket at home on March 30 -- but are now on a six-game winning streak, including a 20-3 thumping at Monomoy.

These two teams split last year's head-to-head play in reverse order, with both teams victorious on their opponent's home turf, Nauset managing a 12-10 win here on island on May 8, 2025. This broke a seven-game winning streak by Nantucket going back a decade, with Nauset only managing a tie back in Eastham in 2015.

Live coverage begins at 4pm with the first draw scheduled for 4:15 from Vito Capizzo Stadium, coming to you live both on the NSC YouTube channel as well as on NCTV HD Channel 1072.

Nantucket Sports Connection proudly presents the Whalers Varsity Boys Lacrosse squad as they take on the Division 2 Red Hawks from across the sound in Barnstable.

Nantucket (8-1) returns from spring break as the #3 ranked team in MIAA Division 4 in the first Power Rankings of the season -- with their 2025 semifinal nemesis Cohasset in the pole position as we enter the back half of the season and the tournament to follow.

Barnstable (1-9) has already lost as many games as all of last season, yet they are still in contention (just barely) ranked #32 in Division 2. They had a respectable defense in their home match vs. the Whalers on April 2, holding Nantucket to a 6-3 win in their second lowest scoring effort this spring.

The Whalers have enjoyed an eight-game winning streak over their much larger cross-channel league opponents, who haven't managed a win in the series since the abbreviated pandemic season in 2021. Since then Nantucket has racked up a collective 105-38 scoring total in the contests from 2022 forward.

The Red Hawks managed a #25 seed in the Div. 1 tournament with an 8-9 record last year; they quickly fell to #8 Bishop Feehan in the first round by a 20-6 score.

Live coverage begins at 4pm with the first draw scheduled for 4:15 from Vito Capizzo Stadium, coming to you live both on the NSC YouTube channel as well as on NCTV HD Channel 1072.
