For 80 years, kick sets missed a crucial opportunity by skipping underwater. HydroWing changes that, allowing swimmers to maximize every wall. This device enforces perfect streamline and builds stamina for extended underwaters.
It’s not just about the dolphin kick. Building a perfect streamline off every wall is the foundation. This simple habit, practiced relentlessly from a young age, is the key to unlocking speed and mastering underwaters.

It started with my dad seeing me create this product and encouraging me to go all-in. His belief fueled the leap of faith to start this business and impact the swimming community. It's been an incredibly fun journey building this with him. Happy Father's Day, and thanks to all the dads who support their kids' dreams!
HydroWing has the ability to train underwaters off every wall. This revolutionary tool enhances hypoxic training, improves technique with tighter streamlines, and reduces drag – all vital for modern competitive swimming where underwaters make the difference.
HydroWing revolutionizes your training by forcing core engagement and connecting your upper and lower body for true forward propulsion. Master your streamline, dolphin kicks, and transition to an efficient kick plane.
Tired of kickboards compromising your body position? HydroWing trains you in the actual swimming posture, not a floating one. Improve your technique and see the difference.
James Bretscher, former NC State swimmer and current Purdue coach, invented the HydroWing to teach seamless underwaters. He recognized that every push-off from the wall is a missed opportunity for underwater training. This tool helps swimmers incorporate essential underwater work into every practice.
Every coach I spoke with brought up animals moving through water - dolphins, otters, whales. They stressed the importance of athletes learning to 'slither' and 'play' in the water, not fight it. It's about flowing with the movement, not keeping your head above.
The inspiration for the HydroWing stemmed from a simple idea in North Carolina: what if you could wear something on your hands to improve underwater movement? This led to a 3-year journey of design and iteration, transforming a traffic cone concept into the final product.
