✨ Meet the People Behind First 5 Napa ✨

We’re excited to kick off a new series introducing the passionate people who make First 5 Napa what it is. 💙

First up is our Executive Director, Ashley Walker.

Ashley has spent more than 15 years working in education and nonprofit leadership because she believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Her journey began as a middle school science teacher at a Title I school in Houston, where she helped implement restorative justice practices that reduced discretionary suspensions by half in just one year.

As a first-generation college graduate, Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree from Chico State and a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Her passion for creating equitable opportunities for children and families continues to guide her leadership every day.

Most importantly, Ashley is the proud mom of three amazing kids, who inspire her daily as she works to help build a stronger, more supportive Napa County for every family.

We’re grateful for Ashley’s vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to giving every child the strongest possible start. 💛
