What if the Sand of Karbala could speak?

A moving and thought provoking poem recited by Br. Muazzam Naqvi at F***j Institute, narrated from the perspective of the sands of Karbala. Bearing witness to the tragedy of Ashura, the sacred earth speaks of the blood of the martyrs, the captivity of Sayyida Zainab (a), and the everlasting legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt (a). Through powerful imagery and profound symbolism, this elegy invites us to see Karbala through the eyes of the very ground that witnessed its sacrifice.

A beautiful and thought provoking poetic piece by Br. Sam Sheikali titled, “I Am Hosseini, I Say…”

Some words are meant to comfort. Others are meant to make us pause.

This is one of them.

A few minutes that may leave you asking questions long after the poem ends.

Listen. Reflect. And ask yourself… what does it truly mean to say, “I am Hosseini”?

Imam Husayn (a) taught us that every voice has a responsibility. His stand in Karbala was not for power or personal gain, but to uphold truth, justice, and reform.

YouthTalk is an opportunity for our youth to reflect on these timeless lessons and share their thoughts, experiences, and inspirations with the community.

Your voice can make a difference. Join the conversation and be part of the next YouthTalk @ F***j.
