Happy 251st Birthday to the U.S. Army!

Today, we honor 251 years of courage, service, and sacrifice from the soldiers of the United States Army—the nation’s oldest military branch.

At Veteran Business Project, we’re proud to stand with Army veterans who continue their mission in new ways—leading businesses, creating jobs, and strengthening communities across the country.

To all who have served and continue to serve: your commitment to duty and excellence continues to inspire.

Thank you—past, present, and future.

Reliable transportation can change everything.

For many veterans and military families, access to a dependable vehicle means the ability to get to work, grow a business, attend appointments, and create new opportunities for the future.

That’s why the Keys to Progress® program from Progressive is making a difference by helping veterans overcome one of the biggest barriers to stability—transportation.

Applications are now open for veterans and military family members in need of a vehicle for employment or business purposes, but the deadline is approaching fast on August 7.

Congratulations to veteran entrepreneur Ralph Venturanza and his wife Kim on the successful Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening of Laundry Works in Waukegan!

It was an honor for Veteran Business Project to celebrate this milestone alongside the community. Through our vharmony® program, Ralph successfully navigated the business acquisition process and has since transformed Laundry Works into a clean, modern, and welcoming space for local families.

We’re proud to support veteran-owned businesses and look forward to seeing Laundry Works continue to thrive!

June is PTSD Awareness Month.

At Veteran Business Project, we stand with every veteran carrying invisible wounds long after service ends. PTSD does not define strength, weakness, or character — it is a human response to trauma, and no one should face it alone.

This month, we honor the resilience of veterans while encouraging open conversations, support, and access to resources that save lives. Healing starts when we replace silence with understanding.

If you know a veteran struggling with PTSD, reach out. Listen. Support. Check in.

Together, we can break the stigma and build a stronger community for those who served.
