To Our Beloved Community,

This comes down to more than just a building—it comes down to music.

Through underhanded legal tactics that we believe and violates the law, our landlord obtained and caused a writ of possession to be issued against us. We were planning on moving out, anyways, but will still be challenging their actions and seeking to hold them accountable.

We assure you that we will fight this relentlessly. What was taken from you through the actions of shady lawyers and a greed driven few, will be restored—one way or another.

This community has endured far greater challenges, and in our decade-plus existence, this is merely a hurdle. And we are committed to protecting your First Amendment right to practice yoga and be positive.

Before we settle into a new home, let’s remember this: we didn’t build this community on an aging building—we built it on the firm belief that you belong here. That love is freely given in this space, wherever that space is. That every single one of you is good enough, no matter what the world has told you.

As we fight, we ask that you stand with us. And how do we fight back best? By continuing to live our lives, by recognizing that our resilience and our bond are not dictated by a building but by our ability to stand together.

You also have another First Amendment right—the freedom of speech. The right to be seen. The right to be heard. How you choose to exercise those rights is up to you.

In the coming days, we’ll be hosting pop-ups all over town! The Yoga Lab community is vast, and we know many of you reading this are angry. Instead of anger, let’s mobilize.
