Before leaving to represent the USA at the Holmatro Rescue Challenge in Germany, North Collier Fire Rescue’s Extrication Team presented their new “Misfits” jerseys to Fire Chief Eloy Ricardo and Deputy Chief Mike Jimenez and recorded a special message of gratitude for our community that helped make this journey possible.

Maybe your asking why call themselves the Misfits?

Well it's really simple, this team is made up of individuals with various backgrounds, personalities, experiences, and talents. They don’t all think the same, train the same, or approach challenges the same way AND that is exactly what makes them successful.

The best teams aren’t built from people who fit perfectly into a mold. They’re built from uniting unique strengths around a common mission: saving lives.

This week, our Misfits are proudly representing North Collier Fire Rescue, Southwest Florida, and the USA 🇺🇸 on the world stage.

Well, they are off 🛫✈️ heading to Germany!! With passports in hand, family by their side, and aspirations of winning on their minds, we asked the team a few questions before they took flight 🇩🇪.
