Fundraising Internship, Staff Assistant

Dynamic, non-profit friends of the Library of Collier County, Naples, FL -- which supports and enhances the 10 libraries in Collier County -- seeks Interns. The Fall internship begins August 19, 2012 and ends December 14. The Spring internship begins January 7, 2013 and ends May 3, 2013. Application deadline is August 19, 2012.

This can be a sole position or the workday can be shared by two interns. The Fundraising Intern will assist the Marketing Director, Event Planner and Executive Director with the following professional responsibilities: basic proofreading and at-large editorial tasks, preparing donor acknowledgment letters, liaison with the public, organizing event ticket sales, and processing membership applications and renewals for members. General office duties regarding fundraising as needed.

This is an unpaid internship.

Degrees Wanted: None

Areas of Concentration: Public Relations; Library - Academic; Nonprofit Management

Special Skills: Basis proofreading/editorial skills, PC literate, organizational skills, database management

Minimum GPA: 3.00

Other Job Requirements: Excellent writing and communication skills. Detail-oriented and ability to run/manage Donor Perfect database. Ability to work well with the staff, the organization's volunteers, board members and general public. This is a "front door" position where you will represent the organization with new members visiting our office, existing members and contacting members for renewals and donations by phone.

Hours: Monday thru Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
