🛁 Thinking About Renovating Your Bathroom? Tub or Walk-In Shower?

One of the most common questions homeowners ask is whether they should keep the bathtub when renovating. The answer really depends on a few key factors.

If the tub is a garden or soaking tub in the primary bathroom, it’s usually wise to keep it and simply update the tile or surrounding finishes. Many buyers still appreciate having that option in a primary suite.

However, if it’s a standard tub and shower combination, replacing it with a walk-in shower can be a great update. This can work well in both a guest bath and a primary bath, especially if you’re aiming for a more modern look.

The most important consideration is buyer demographics in your area and how soon you plan to sell. If you may sell in the next few years, renovation choices should be weighed carefully to protect resale value.

If you’re renovating mainly for your own enjoyment, then quality of life should lead the decision. Choose the design that makes your home feel best for you.

If you’d like guidance on which updates tend to bring the best return here in Florida, I’m happy to help.
